The brief: “ we need a logo, so far we have a palm tree with some text”

The solution: a branding system that delivers a full logo suite encompassing a brand mark that is totally unique and memorable. A calming colour palette with an earthy accent and a contemporary font system.

In collaboration with Reef Property Lombok I designed a new brand identity system for Maya Estate, a luxury villa development in the heart of Kuta Lombok. They needed an identity that would make them stand out in a crowd of palm tree logos! The problem… palm trees logos are not unique, there’s 1000s of variations and you can’t trademark them.

Instead a created a brand mark that’s truly unique and memorable.

Repeating the M of Maya to form a sun. A subtle nod to tropical climates but elevated, original and ownable.

Good branding isn’t about cliches it’s about telling your unique story.
